The most powerful cement enterprise in Russia Mordovcement increased production by 20% over the year to 3.2 million tons. EUROCEMENT group holding invested 700 million rubles in the capacity expansion of Mordovcement. The investment will help increase the production even more by the end of 2020.
In particular, the clinker calcining facility got a new slurry feed pump for the kiln. The design allowed to increase the flow of raw materials into the rotary kiln and boost its productivity. During the year, labor productivity at the enterprise increased by 19%, as the managing director of the plant Sergey Marachkov announced at a meeting with the head of the republic of Mordovia.
“The plant is operating stably, following the results of last year, there was an increase in all key production indicators,” said Marachkov.
As of today the company employs 950 people.
In January-December 2019, the plant dispatched 2.78 million tons of cement via rail (23% more than in 2018).
Mordovcement plant is a city-forming enterprise for the village of Komsomolsky and the entire Chamzinsky district of the republic of Mordovia. The design capacity of the enterprise is 10.6 million tons of cement per year, which is the highest figure in Russia.
