New grinding equipment for the production of CEM II cement was commissioned at Schretter & Cie’s plant in Vils (Austria). The equipment, supplied by Köppern, has production capacity of 53.9 tph and an energy consumption of 32.8 kWh per ton. The company expects to expand its production capacity from 0.3 to about 0.7 million tons of cement per year. At the end of October, the plant also had three new 55-meter silos constructed.
The scope of delivery included HPGR type 92/12.4-670 PG, a 3.0 x 7.7 m ball mill (both operating in closed circuit) and the new Koesep 1850-2S-2Z two-stage classifier. This new generation of classifier combines static and dynamic separation in one compact unit. The design allows an operation with less pressure losses and therefore less energy demand for the whole separation step.
