A double-strand chain was replaced in a plate conveyor at the production site of Shchurovsky Cement Plant, a part of the international holding company LafargeHolcim. The new 270-meter chain was supplied by THIELE. The package also included sprocket disks.
The conveyor with the new chain has already been commissioned. With timely maintenance, the service life of the chain is up to 10 years.
The conveyor is about 130 meters long and has a capacity of 229 tons per hour. It is designed to transport clinker (with a temperature of about 110 °C) from the cooler to the silo with a rise to a height of 70 meters and a maximum slope angle of 40 degrees.
Shchurovsky Cement Plant is one of the oldest cement plants in Russia, which was launched back in 1870. The enterprise produces gray cement and white cement.
