Akhangarancement upgrades the fleet of equipment at its quarry to meet all the requirements of seismic safety. A surface miner recently acquired in Italy has been put to the development of the overburden rock field in Shavazsay.
The new surface miner allows for safe, blast-free limestone mining with the lowest possible noise and vibration levels, as per Akhangarancement’s representatives. TESMEC surface miner has well proven to be a reliable piece of equipment.
The raw material base of Akhangarantsement consists of the Karakhta limestone deposit and the left-bank section of the Shavazsay deposit, which are 3.5 km apart. Using blast-free solutions is vital due to the proximity of residential buildings along the western border of the mining site.
The plant is finalizing the construction of a new 3 million tpa dry-process production line.
