Vicat Group Reported Consolidated Sales Growth in 2020

Sales volume of the French cement holding Vicat Group in January-December 2020 increased by 2.4 % YoY, up to EUR 2.8 billion. The best dynamics were shown by sales in the American and African regions, where this indicator grew by 8 % and 20.4 %, respectively.

Sales of the holding's products in France decreased over the same period by 2.4 %, down to EUR 963 million.

Sales in Turkey and Egypt rose by 1.1 % YoY, up to EUR 173 million.

Sales in the United States and Brazil increased over the same period by 8 %, up to EUR 636 million. Sales in the United States increased by 8 % — mainly due to economic stimulus measures supporting the Infrastructure and residential construction markets. Sales in Brazil grew 49 % YoY.

Vicat’s enterprise in Kazakhstan Zhambyl Cement Production Company, operating in the Moyynkum District of the Zhambyl Region of Kazakhstan, showed a 3.1 % increase in sales.

The holding's report also indicates an increase in consolidated EBITDA by 5.9 % YoY (to 557 million euros) and a decrease in debt obligations by 7 % ( down to EUR 1.2 billion).
