In January 2021, enterprises of the Russian Federation produced 2.3 million tons of cement (Portland cement, alumina cement, slag cement and similar hydraulic cements), which is 5.7 % less than in January 2020. Compared to December 2020, production volume decreased by 29.2 %.
The volume of ready-mixed concrete production in January 2021 amounted to 1.5 million m3, which is 5.6 % less than in January 2020. Compared to December 2020, the production of ready-mixed concrete decreased by 39.3 %.
The support measures announced by the Russian government have become stimulating factors in the activities of the cement industry. This year, Russia is expected to launch a new cement plant in Bashkortostan.
