Angarskcement Increased Cement Production by 9 % in January-June 2020

Angarskcement, a subsidiary of Sibcem, produced 289,000 tons of cement in January-June 2020 (up by 9 % YoY). According to the results of the period, 279,000 tons of cement were shipped to consumers (up by 10 % YoY). By the end of the year, the enterprise expects to produce 635,000 tons of cement, as per Dmitry Kireev, Managing Director of Angarskcement.

The plant produced:

  • CEM I 42.5N (no additives) - 187,000 tons;
  • CEM II / A-Z 32.5B (with additives) - 70,000 tons;
  • PC 500 D0-N - 32,000 tons.

Consumption of cement in the region of the enterprise's shipment activity (the Irkutsk region, the Trans-Baikal Territory and the Republic of Buryatia) in January-June increased by 27 % YoY. 144,000 tons of cement were shipped to consumers by rail and 135,000 tons by road, of which 33,000 tons were shipped using Angarskcement's own cement trucks. Angarskcement’s direct delivery is becoming increasing;y popular among its customers, thus the plant continues to expand its heavy transport fleet.

In May, Angarskcement signed a management agreement with Sibcem.

This summer, the plant began shipping palletized cement in 25 kg bags. In the spring, as part of the investment program, the plant's warehouse grab crane was replaced, a new front-end loader has been purchased. In July, an electrostatic precipitator was installed on rotary kiln No. 2.

A closed-circuit grinding system at cement mills No. 1 and No. 2 was modernized with Christian Pfeiffer’s separators.

“We have two more ‘hot’ months ahead, during which we plan to produce 162,000 tons of cement — 26 % of the annual volume. Three rotary kilns operate around the clock at the plant, and cement is shipped from six AM to eight PM. At any moment, the enterprise is ready to increase production volumes and meet the highest expectations of our clients," — emphasizes Dmitry Kireev, Managing Director of Angarskcement JSC.
