Kiln and Raw Mill Bag Filter Upgraded at Azerbaijani Gazakh Cement

A new rotary kiln and raw mill bag filter was installed at Akkord Sement’s plant in the  Azerbaijani village of Dash Salahli, Gazakh region. The new filter is fully compliant with modern environmental standards. The work was carried out by the Italian engineering company CTP Team.

Sonic Wave Acceleration Pulse (SWAP) — a low-pressure compressed air technology (2-3 atmospheres) — is used to clean the filter elements of the bag filters. The new filter has a length of six meters and a diameter of 152 mm. The filter design capacity is 632.5 m3/h.

The upgrade took place as part of a large project to modernize and increase the production capacity of the enterprise. In 2020, the plant plans to increase productivity by 50 %. Earlier this year, Gazakh Cement reported a 20% increase in sales of cement and clinker in 4M 2020.
