Rotary kilns No. 2 and No. 3, raw mills No. 3 and No. 5, and cement mill No. 6 are back up and running after repairs at Teplozersky Cement Plant, as Vostokcement’s representatives told Cement and its Applications.
The plant’s specialists replaced the chain heat exchanger in the rotary kiln No. 2 at the end of May. The rotary kiln No. 3 (satellite cooler, bearings, cooling zone seal) was repaired in the first half of June.
The specialists replaced the inter-chamber partition and the lining of the second chamber of the raw mill No. 5. The raw mill No. 3 had its grinding media replaced, and the new experimental low-chromium media was used in the second chamber. Armor plates were replaced in the cement mill No. 6, along with repairs of the gearbox and a screw feeder.
The rotary kilns No. 3 and No. 1 underwent repairs in April. At the end of 2019, the rotary kiln No. 6 had its main gearbox updated, armor plates replaced, and was loaded with new grinding media.
